The 2007 Philadelphia Freedom Roundup was a great success! We’ve heard from many of the attendees
how much they enjoyed their Roundup experience this year. It was not only enjoyable but also very
rewarding to plan the Roundup and its fundraising events as a member of the Roundup Committee. Our
fundraisers this year included “LaTriviata I” and “LaTriviata II,” trivia nights that
entertained (and informed) with great food and (relatively) spectacular prizes that combined to
produce a (somewhat) glittering evening of relaxed bedazzlement. “Caftanistan,” a comedy that had
something to do with caftans, boxy suits, moose, badgers, the KGB, and Paula Abdul was another
successful fundraiser in July at the Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival Theater.

Consider joining us on the 2008 Philadelphia Freedom Roundup Committee. You can help plan next
year’s roundup and its fundraising events. It’s a great opportunity to contribute
your ideas, enthusiasm and talent to the LGBT recovery community in the Philadelphia area and from
all over. For an interesting and enjoyable way to be of service to those in recovery, and to enrich
your own recovery, consider joining us as a committee member or volunteer.
